A production-oriented image release

Black Forest Labs introduced FLUX.2 on November 25, 2025. The announcement emphasized multiple reference images, editing, structured prompts, and consistency of characters and style.

These capabilities addressed familiar production problems: a team often needs a series of related assets, not one attractive image that cannot be reproduced or revised coherently.

Consistency must be defined

For a product campaign, consistency may mean preserving packaging geometry and color across scenes. For a character, it may mean recognizable features and clothing. For a brand, it may mean layout and typography. Each requirement needs its own review criteria.

A model can satisfy one form of consistency while failing another. A visually similar scene may still contain an incorrect label or a changed product detail.

Keep an asset’s history with the asset. Source Original files and permissions. Creation Model or tool and input references. Revision Edits, metadata and version history. Publication Human approval and verification record.

Build a series-based evaluation

Use several briefs that share the same reference assets and vary only the intended scene or composition. Review the series together, then request a targeted edit to one image. Check whether the correction preserves the accepted details. Record retries and manual finishing work.
