More thinking changes the user experience

A model may take longer before returning useful output when it works through a difficult task. That can be appropriate for a background planning job and frustrating for a simple interactive action. The interface should reflect the kind of work being performed.

For creative teams, an advanced planning model is most valuable when a brief contains conflicting requirements or many dependencies. Routine formatting may not need the same treatment.

Compare the candidate with the current model on accepted-result rate, full latency, and total usage. Include a sample of previously failed tasks, but also ordinary requests that already work well. Keep the current route available until the new behavior is understood. A higher headline capability should improve the application without making its reliable everyday paths less predictable.
